For a while, I have been trying to upload an MP3 file to Scratch to use in my project. However, when I click the file to upload it, I hear a loud screeching noise and Scratch immediately crashes.
I have no other information on this bug.
Can anyone help?

If it's over 10-30 MB, you can crash Squeak (which is completely different from Scratch, but is the main programming language). Squeak doesn't support memory buffering, unlike Objective-C.

Do you get a text box that is titled 'Fatal Error'? Certain sounds do that. Some of them even play only the first half a second when you click on them. If this happens, don't try to upload it unless you've saved, you are risking losing your work. If you're using a sound that has been added to a project correctly before, then it should be safe.

I tried recording the song from Angry Birds Space, and it just played the announcement that it was 1600 hours, CST time!
I couldn't record the song!!!

What error did it produce?
It just cut off the song!

The song is 19.5 MB. Squeak probably crashed.
