When you get promoted to a Scratcher from a New Scratcher, I think it would be cool if you had one more above this, here are some requirements (just brainstorming)
I would like people to b promoted for the reasons of helping, helping new scratchers, and giving to scratch.
vote here please,

that would be neat
support
but we should have different requirements.
- been on scratch for a year
- over 1000 posts
- over 15 projects made
- over 100 edits to the wiki
- over 1000 comments posted on the main site

That would be nearly me; about 80 projects, only 460 forum posts, 5000 comments, been on scratch 14 months, but no wiki edits. Hmm, actually not really that near.

I support the idea, but I disagree with part of Wes' idea, the wiki edits for two reasons. 1.Not everyone knows about/uses the wiki, and 2.People who just wanted Pro Scratcher status could just do random incorrect edits to get it. Right now the Wiki Contributors do it for nothing, and it'd a very clean, good wiki. Having a bunch of people who've never edited a wiki before and know very little to nothing about the codes used by the wiki could ruin their work. The projects prerequisite might increase project spam, but it's already bad so it wont do very much.

Do you support?
Yes

I support this, but with manual upgrading. Because, I could predict that I was going to go on Scratch in 16 months, make an account, wait, post 150 spam posts, and publish 15 spam projects.

I support about the rank, and semi-support about the way you achieve it.

The spam posts and comments would probably be flagged though.

This has already been announced to be in 2.0. They think the rank will be called 'Senior Scratcher'.
And also, when we get this rank...
NO 60 SECOND RULE
No 60 second rule, Alright!!!! I can't wait for this!

Maybe there is a formula (weighted average) that incorporates posts, helpfulness, comments num, wiki edit num, etc. into a single number. The number has to be greater than x.

Karma? XD
I remember seeing one of jvvg's admin images and there was a karma rating.
I support.

Yea. Also, there would probably be something like a 30 second rule.

I don't see why, it's to prevent spam. the community mods don't have a spam filter, and they're manually selected.

But 'pro' scratchers may get hacked.

But 'community' mods might get hacked as well. Actually, the mods are still bigger targets.

Yet they are a small portion of the community and are advised to have strong passwords.

I support all but the tutorial part. You can help out without doing that.
