Scratch is a programming language.
I know the markup languages HTML and CSS, as well as fluently: PHP and Processing; somewhat: Javascript and Scratch; and a bit, Java.

HTML, JavaScript, Scratch, a TINY bit of C++, an even TINIER bit of Lua, and almost no Python. In order of best to worst,
Scratch
ECMAScript
HTML
C++
Python
Lua

I'd consider it a scripting one. (there's a difference. Scratch is not compiled, but interpreted by Squeak and the Java/Flash players.) But it is, definitely, a good introduction to the world of programming.
Right now I'm scripting some stuff in ROBLOX Lua. That and Scratch is all I'm good at. I know a bit of Java and Python, but just the basics.

By bash, did you mean Batch?

No, batch is the Windows cmd line if I remember correctly, and bash is (one of) the terminal 'environments' if I may call it that. Default on Mac. Sudo, cd, ls and all that.

PHP is pretty cool because it lets you work with HTML forums and server side scripting
