I've installed a copy of the original Scratch app using an LLVM GCC compiler (in Xcode) and am running it on the Apple iPhone/iPad simulator. I'll be porting it over to my iPad in a few minutes.
You can see it running (and all of it's cool features) here.
I've now got it working on my physical iPad and it's awesome. I've got it set-up on a server so people can download the app and easily install it on their iDevices but I need permission first.

No it doesn't. Steve? Do you have the Xcode Project so I can try loading it on my Sim?

Does it require jailbreaking, a developer account, or neither? (to download from the server)
Nope, nope and nope. Although it does require a developer license to test on physical devices, but I can provide people with a copy to use on their devices with my license.

I would love testing it on my iphone (I had bought the original app from itunes almost two years ago, then after an OS update it didn't run anymore )

Yeah, I may be able to allow some Scratchers to install it on their devices.

It's part of the Xcode which is available on the Mac app store. However, it takes a bit of setup that you can't guess, so I don't suggest trying to install it without help.

Anybody want to help me test it out? You'll get a free install of it on our iDevice. (You're device cannot be jailbroken and you must have a PC or mac with iTunes)

As I said, I'm ready

Can I have your device's device ID?

Lol you can get Scratch app with jailbreak. I think you can download it from Cydia. I found the file on these forums a while before it was in Cydia.

Can I test please? I didn't want to show my UDID to everyone so I left it on one of your old projects.

Can you please put up the xcodeproj so I can try it on my sim?

I don't think anyone would jailbreak their device just for a Scratch app; think topic and way of distributing the app legally to others that I'm going is for those who don't want to jailbreak their device.
