Of course! Research and find information about dogs that you are interested in  smile  Chances are, if you're interested, the rest of us are too! XD If you would like to draw or find pictures for the article, that's fine. Post the article here when you're done, along with any pictures.

Yay, okay! (How do I post pictures in the forums?)

Use an image tag.

For example, [?img]put image URL here[/img?]

Except you take out the question marks.

Wonderful! I would love to accept you! Do you want to be fiction, nonfiction, or both? And do you want to be a designer, or art?

I like to write nonfiction more, but I am okay with either. Can you say exactly what a designer does?

Nonfiction it is! I am writing this issue's short story, so we don't need fiction at the moment. Would you like to write out a recipe, or maybe an article about a sport?

Re: Scratch Girl Magazine - NOW HIRING

Oh, Brother...
Chapter 1

“What are you doing, Chloe?” my little brother, Jack, asked.
“None of your beeswax,” I snapped.
“Chloe! Be nice!” Mom called from the other room. I frowned.
“Writing a song,” I mumbled. “Now get out.” Jack ran out of his room.
“MOM! Chloe told me to get out!”
I laughed and got back to my work. I'm writing a song for the 6th grade talent show, and I want it to be perfect. It's about perfection, actually. About how we all work towards the same goal. I hope it turns out great!
Then there was a phone call. “Hey, it's Jack here!” I heard Jack say. I rolled my eyes. “Who are you?” After a few moments, he yelled, “CHLOE!! It's for YOU!!”
I ran downstairs and grabbed the phone. “Hello?”
“Hey Chloe, it's Asha.” Asha is my best friend.
    “Oh, hey, Asha! What's up?”
    “How's your project going?”
“Oh, that. It's great – my song is going to be awesome!”
    “Cool. Want to hang out?”
    “Sure!”
I ran upstairs to tell my mom I was going over to Asha's, then ran out the door.
I had an awesome time at Asha's. We practiced our acts for the talent show together.
“Mom! I'm home!” I said as I walked up the stairs. I went into my room to finish my song.
    I gasped.

You explored the world around you -
it's beautiful, it's true
You can do anything if you try,
Even fly... ~~~~~Just like superman!!!!!!!!~~~~~~

Just like Superman? Jack had ruined my song.

To be continued

Sure! I can write a recipe, but is it okay if I steal it from a website?

Re: Scratch Girl Magazine - NOW HIRING

here is my article:

Did you know that ‘Poodle’ is originated from the word ‘puddeln’, meaning, in German, to splash in the water?
The French have loved the dog since 1500s and made the Poodle their National Dog. In France the breed is called ‘Caniche’ which means Duck Dog. The dog is so famous it was featured on ancient Greek and Roman coins.

Some other awesome dogs is the Border Collie, who is a herding dog, and are also very intelligent, the small Yorkshire Terrie, the Pomeranian, nicknamed Pompom, and last but not least the beagle. The smallest breed is the Chihuahua, who may weigh as little as 2 pounds, and as puppies they can fit into your hand. Although the Chihuahua may seem tiny and cute, be careful, she is also very vicious!

Re: Scratch Girl Magazine - NOW HIRING

Here is a recipe I found for kettle corn, It's super addicting- I've tried it.  It seems like a good recipe to make easily.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup of coconut oil (olive oil or vegetable oil works too)

1/4 cup of cane sugar

1/2 cup of popcorn kernels

Directions:

Heat the oil in a large pot, then pour the sugar and kernels in. Shake the pot around until the kernels start to pop.

Re: Scratch Girl Magazine - NOW HIRING

I would join if it weren't as girly as it sounds by the description. D:

And I agree with soupoftomato. Maybe sorta break stereotypicalism a little bit? Like an article about a lot of scratchers being confused for boys because of their attitude and things they do?

Re: Scratch Girl Magazine - NOW HIRING

Anime artist and good(ish) writer here  smile

I have no resume really but drawing is my life (posting some art for criticism soon since I am too young for deviantart, any fellow artists reading this that would be willing to help me improve!)

I have only just joined Scratch as a user but have lots of experience with the program and community and stuff.  I've only just discovered forums but if I need to, I'll check nearly every day (if homework will allow)  smile
