For me, MLP:FiM is something to be a fan of, like jazz or futurama, but not something that makes me special. I don't want to be called a brony anymore, because I perceive it as a label.

The worst part: my mom introduces me, and sometimes she says "he's a brony; it is a male fan of my little pony." And when you say that, it sounds bad. The term really should just stay on the internet mostly, and refer to a population of people.

I like being called a Brony.

At least it's realistic.

Not necessarily, they could be gatherers (not hunters) or farm through some kind of weather-based system. They could also have the other animals like the sheep, oxen, and so on (I'm assuming you mean no other ponies, not no other animals) help with plowing and other heavy lifting. Also, since there would probably be less ponies (I'm also assuming you mean only pegasi are left, not that everyone has turned into pegasi), they could just live closer to the ground and graze instead of eating what I'm assuming are imports from Equestria.

As for the moon and sun, the pegasi could fly to the sun and move it around. That would be awesome and also probably impossible, unless the sun is like in Discworld where it's just a mile-large ball of fire.

Yes but the sun and moon are moved with magic. Wouldn't the sun harm the pegasi?

Re: poni poni poni

Did anybody read the fanfic Past Sins? It looks good but I really don't want to read anything that turns into "'I love you,' she said, and in that moment Twilight realized she loved her, too."

There are a lot of people that loved it, but my opinion is that for a fic with so much work into it and a premise with such potential, it was severely mediocre. The writing was heavy-handed, while the characterization was overall lacking and without true depth. For a fic with a focus on introspection it was rather weak in that regard. Not worth the time it takes to read IMO.

It could just be it's always the sun and the pegasi just put clouds over the sun when it's time to sleep.

But it would still be bright outside. Ever heard of "cloudy days"?

By that I mean that there's no subtlety. From a fic like this, I'd hope for some powerful yet subtle character development, but instead all we get is lengthy and cumbersome internal dialogue that doesn't even do much to advance Nyx as a character beyond a basic level.

I actually don't like the name. Like, I don't mind people knowing that I am a fan of the show but I just think the name sounds kind of dumb.

"Hi. I'm a brony."
"Is that some kind of religion?"

"Pony fan" or "fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" works fine IMO.
