I think it would be cool if, whenever you share a project, you get to tag it as "game", "animation", "art", "music", "simulation", "contest", or "other".

then on the pages for top-loved, top-viewed, and top-remixed, you could filter the projects by these tags. you wouldn't be able to filter the actual front page because i feel that this would divide the community. ive seen a lot of people complaining about top-remixed being cluttered by coloring contests, or top-viewed being cluttered by updates. If you could filter projects in this way, users could easily sort out the project types they don't like, and find ones they enjoy.

of course, if you mistag a project (like if you tag a simulation "game") you could always change the tag to something else. since you only can tag a project with one tag, this couldn't be abused badly.
