Yes. You can open projects from older versions of Scratch. You might need to change a few blocks here and there, but it's not too hard. And certainly not as hard as restarting.

I thought that it was uploading from 1.4, but I must of read too quickly. Ah well, importing and pressing a button on a silly interface is better than using a silly interface for everything. (Do I get the 180?) (Yes, I do. Fourth time ever.)

I think 1.4 will still be able to upload, but i'm not sure.

I'm not sure how to do this on Windows, but here's how to on any Mac. If there's an update available, get the latest version of iTunes. I can't guarantee that this will work with earlier versions. Open up iTunes. Change the organization style to "list" (the first option) so that each song is listed separately. Right-click (or whatever the equivalent of your mouse is) the target song, and click "Show in Finder". It should show up in a Finder window, selected. Right-click it and duplicate it. Then put it somewhere else, preferably the Desktop. Go to Scratch, 1.4 or 2.0, and go to a sprite, or the stage. Open up the "sounds" tab, and click "import" navigate to the desktop and select the song you just put there.
