I can't get LAN servers working. When my friend tries to connect to my server, it just keeps saying "Scanning for LAN worlds" forever. And the same thing happens when I try to connect to his world.
Any help?

(Yes, we are in the same house, connected to the same internet)

You mean hack as in they try to hack into Mojang (or whereever) to get in the accounts? Or just enter passwords?

First of all, they're crackers, not hackers. Second of all, they can brute-force their way in to any account, whether they have the username or not. Just meeting them on a server probably gives you the highest chance of being cracked.

I had the same problem. I unblocked java on windows firewall on both computers and that did the trick! big_smile

I've done everything that speeds up Minecraft like getting rid of Windows visuals, setting priority to high and increasing the amount of RAM it starts with; and I start the game with 30 fps on Short +32 and 70 on Tiny (Which I usually use). It runs fine with minimal lag spikes except when I pvp. It instantly drops to 5 on short +32 and 10 on tiny. ):<. Does anyone know how to fix this? The only mod I'm running is OptiFine.

I only go on scratch servers and kid friendly ones. I'll just tell the people on the servers I got hacked anyways.

Graphic naked skins can be used to be pretty much instantly banned from every server

There isnt any way to fix sad My minecraft lagged all the time, I got optifine and it worked but then I got a double click lag which I fixed by setting my render distance to normal. Ive looked everywhere but there isn't much else to fix minecraft lag
