It's not came out in cinemas here yet (U.K). Lucky Americans.

@disscussion over Cars 2: I still think Cars 2 is the best. Why? Well recently, Pixar movies had a lot of emotional parts in them (Toy Story 3, WALL-E, etc.), but Cars 2 didn't have much of that. I'm not saying that those movies were bad, but Cars 2 strayed off that path. Instead, it came out with a simple spy movie, with the emotion set to low.Well, emotion is what makes a movie good.
Even in spy movies, you should be cheering for the spies (at least in your head!). Cars 2 didn't make me do that. It had a few laughs but was extremely mediocre overall.
If you don't want emotions in your movies then . . . you don't want to watch movies.
Pixar is known for it's storytelling and emotion, even when they are all animated and made for children.OK, let me rephase that. When I see a movie, I don't want to bawl over my seat. Toy Story 3 was a bit too much.
But when Pixar focuses on the "fun" part of the movie and not the emotion part, it turns out good. The orignal Toy Story only had a sad part when Buzz learned he's "not a flying toy." In Brave, the mom and Meridia (spelling fail) changed throughout the movie, in terms of behavior, which was still kind of sad. In Cars 2, it was when the spys said that Mater had a great "cover" with his idioticness, but he actually is stupid.
So, when you think about it, Cars 2 HAS that emotion. That doesn't mean everyone likes it, but I think it's pretty good for what it is.
And yeah, back ontopic with Brave. Do we have a general Pixar movie topic?
Have you seen the two new Batman movies? I recently saw them for the first time and their pretty much the best superhero movies ever IMO, and their critical acclaim and the money they raked in is astounding.
And you will NEVER be happy in those.

I got 5197 meters on Brave Temple run .3.
@soupoftomato: No, my friend, the best superhero movie is the Avengers.

Why? Batman has always inspired more emotions for me then Marvel flicks getting ready for a big crossover event AND SMOSHED ALL OVER. Darn, have you read the Dark Knight Returns? I've only read a bit-but if they made a movie out of that...

I agree regarding Batman.
Yeah, angelica, Avengers was a good movie. And to be honest, it wasn't a terrible crossover "smoshed all over." (I just realized, you mean the separate movies. Yeah some of the separate ones probably stunk but I actually haven't seen those. ) But the movie The Avengers I found good.
However, the recent Batman movies are pretty much considered some of the best crime dramas and vigilante movies ever. The fact that he's actually a superhero excluded. And it really gave validity to the idea of a superhero movie being dark and emotional.
I think the "newness" of the Avengers may be causing bias in your response though, Angelica.

Dude.
It out"shined" the movie.
I took the time to call this clever.

Yeah, I meant the ones that were rushed to get them out quickly so they were defined before Avengers.

Woah so I liked watched it today. Is best Pixar movie; except maybe Toy Story 3 or Monsters Inc
I'd heard it billed as 'a heartwarming story of family and the relationship mothers and daughters have' or something. It was so much more
The subtle hints of Scotland worn into there were such a fun game-the woad tattoos were amazingly accurate, and I'm fairly sure the guy who spoke in 'gibberish' spoke in Scots
The notions of a princess are so true-and I'm suprised 'Disney'-Pixar was allowed to do that. Though it's kinda a major part of the film; so if not just no
The will o' the wisps were stunningly animated
And I'd heard something like 'the bear transformation stuff has been done before with Brother Bear' on here (?) but oh my god this is infinites better
Brother Bear's sub par. And don't get me wrong; I love parts of that movie, but the dialogue's so bleh and it's just all ;c
I'm not an animation person, so I didn't really notice that, but Merida's hair was stunningly animated
Um yeah great 5/5
