Dream Weaver

My Mom taught me a little about this website-making program called "Dream Weaver". I learned how to make a page, links, text, images, and more! I had fun using it.

Cool, I've used it a bit. I prefer hand-coding by far, though.

Re: Dream Weaver

It's "Dreamweaver", just one word.  smile

I've heard about it, but it's WAY too expensive. I prefer raw Notepad coding.

Notepad++ is better.

Yea, that's what I do, but I see the appeal of software such as this. It's way too expensive though, as many Scratchers have said before.

You can do hand coding with it as well, but to me, Textwrangler, Notepad++ and similar text editors with syntax highlighting are much more useful  smile

I use Aptana.  tongue  Because it's more featured and stuff, since I'm more of a serious developer. But anyway, yea I prefer hard coding.

It isn't expensive for me... School loans laptops... The laptops have Windows 7 Enterprise, MS Office Professional Plus 2010, Adobe Web Premium CS5.5 and loads of other things.

The only bad thing is the restrictions... You cannot run any program other than what is pre-installed. You can easily play Minecraft because it is made in Java. xD Websites are blocked on the school network, but the laptops have a blocking program installed. I could hack it, but I would get into a lot of trouble like the Scratcher "ssss" did. (I think he is banned from Scratch though).

You don't have to hack it. I can show you a cool little trick with the cmd to get past blocking. Want to hear?

Re: Dream Weaver

I have a friend who has one of these school-issued laptops. He's tried to hack it, but apparently, they automatically connect to a network when they reach school, and then the IT guy can make sure they're not hacked and stuff. I'm assuming he uses VNC or something similar.

I got it for $50 online crossing my fingers it wasn't pirated and it turns out it wasn't pirated and worked great.  smile

selling it on eBay is illegal, because adobe keeps track of it.

No, it was some Google shopping site but I registered it with Adobe and it came out as an original copy that wasn't illegal.  smile

Dreamweaver is WYSIWYG, not text. And Sublime isn't free.
