Re: Is it possible to...

Code:

<object width="483" height="387" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://scratch.mit.edu/static/misc/PlayerOnly.swf">
   <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always">
   <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true">
   <param name="flashvars" value="project=http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/[username]/[projectid].sb?version=1">
</object>

The only things you will want to change are the ones in brackets. And if you have updated the project with the same project id, then replace the number after the word "version" with however many versions there are.

Re: Is it possible to...

I don't find that this works at all in Internet Explorer.

So, you'll need to tell your visitors to use Chrome or Firefox if you go this route.

I would LOVE to hear a solution to this problem in IE.

You will probably remember having updated a project. If you haven't updated the project you're using, just don't change it.

It's usually safe to stick with one. As long as you can deal with only being able to play the first version on the site.

And my signature is a reference to Majora's Mask.

Meh.... what happens if you put 5 but you've only updated 4 times?  Would it glitch?  Because I can estimate how many times I've updated.

It just wouldn't show a project. Nothing awful would happen. I've never tried before, but my best guess is that simply nothing would happen.

RESULTS: It shows that it has been deleted because of inappropriate content.  How is Pong inappropriate?

@Firedrake969: Huh. I don't know. You probably haven't updated one project more than ten times, so just keep raising the version number if "1" doesn't work.

@GameHutSoftware: That doesn't make sense out of context. Is that a quote from the Scratch Team? How am I supposed to know?

Nope. The a message box from the Flash Player pops up, says that and some other stuff about trying to connect to scratch.mit.edu. It says to click on settings to allow the Player to connect, but I can't find it in the settings.

Ah, there it is. I'm not sure of the keyboard/OS Firedrake969 uses, so I can't instruct him on how to view the source.

@GameHutSoftware: That might be a "you" problem because it works fine for me.

[EDIT]: What I meant was, when that happens, I can find it in the settings.

I viewed the source at line 222 and the project I'm trying to embed is version 17.  And nothing's working.  At all.

Oh, I see. "17" might be the version of the Flash Player that the project, and everyone else's, uses.

The simple solution though, is to start with one, and if that doesn't work, continue climbing up the numbers. I doubt that you've ever updated a project more than 10 times anyways.

I think you've overcomplicated the problem a little.  tongue

I've updates Pong a LOT.  And on some versions, it says it's been deleted because multiple Scratchers  thought it was inappropriate.  How do I upload it?

I don't know what you're talking about when you say "How do I upload it?". If you really, really don't want to have to do it the trial and error way, download the project from the website, and post it online as a separate project. Delete the old one if you want to. If you deleted the old one, re-name the first one to be like the old one if you want to. Embed that with the code mentioned above, and just use the number one, since it's a new project, it's version one.
