Soup was implying that Neil Armstrong is secretly alive on the Moon.

RIP
Even though I sort of think that putting people on the moon was sort of a huge waste of money since even if they did find aliens or whatever they wanted to find, it's not exactly gonna benefit the human race in any way whatsoever. Still, he was a good guy.

LOL what did you think it was about? It was about a milestone in scientific achievement, the ability to traverse space, and a step closer to larger-scale travel.

At first I was thinking "I can't fathom anyone who hasn't heard about him." Then, I read the first post. Thank you for informing me. This is quite sad- he was my idol when I was young, so this may be more emotional for me than some others.

That was a joke but still, they spent billions on it and it did nothing but prove it was possible.

The last memory of him I had was his cameo in The Simpsons. Oh well.

Please don't discuss religion on the forums. It's flamebait, and with the range of cultures and religions and people who don't have a religion on Scratch you're probably going to offend someone.
(A flame war is a massive argument.)

Let's try not to bring religion into this. Thanks. I don't need another flame war.
That wasn't religion as the moon isn't actually part of a religious heaven.
It was more a nice joke/thought.
really? heaven is a dimension and there is only one way to get there believe on the lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved! acts 16/31 BTW what religion is it?

there are people who dont believe that and by openly stating that in a forum youre inviting people to say otherwise
and when people say otherwise then youll say it again back to them
and it all goes downhill from there

One of the rules in this forum is no religion. We don't care what you believe, and those of us who are not christian don't really want someone trying to convert us to christianity. And there IS no religion where the moon is heaven.
Can we end this thing about religion now? It's very off-topic, and against the rules.

No religious discussions, you mean. The way you put it sounds like religious people aren't allowed on these forums.

Didn't multiple people just tell you religious discussion isn't allowed on the forums?

Didn't multiple people say we should move on from the religious arguments and discuss neil armstrong instead?

actually i don't agree with this space race, i really think it overshades more important issues and slurps up money
but as he's a person, pretty sad. No more or less than most people, though.Scientific discovery is one of the most important things for us to spend on, and NASA doesn't get enough.
NASA makes 0.1 cents out of every tax dollar. -_-

So 1 Dollar for every 1000? Doesn't seem that much.

Well, when you consider that the US' workforce is 152,193,214...
Though I'd imagine many of them earn minumin wage, but they'd still get a lot
