many, many things can be mistaken for herobrine and mojang employees have repeatedly stated that herobrine is fake and notch has no brother dead or alive

Mistaken. I see. So you would call leaving on an adventure, seeing strange things, coming back to find your flammable Items burned and a crater where the nonflammable items were a mistake. In a house where there was no TNT whatsoever. Very funny.

My encounter with Herobrine. This is 100% true although it was probably a plugin or admin trolling.

I was mining with a few friends in a ravine when we saw a players name far away and through some blocks. The name was too far away to read so we decide to chase it to find out who it was. My friend who was the first one to see this player up close says "Herobrine" but I don't believe him and want to see this player up close. I finally chase down this player to find that his name says Herobrine and he has the Herobrine skin. I decide that it was just an admin trolling and leave to keep mining. Soon my friend and I are in one part of the ravine when 20 mobs come and attack us. Fortunately my server gives us the ability to teleport back to where we die but unfortunately my stuff was soon blown up by creepers. We kept trying to fight of the mobs but there were too many. Some people teleported to the battle and one of them built a wall to keep the monsters out but they kept coming. Soon the wall also vanished and rebuilding it was not easy. After about 20 minutes the attacks stopped and Herobrine finnaly left us alone.

I'm pretty sure that Mojang licensed Minecraft to only Xbox as an exclusive, otherwise PS3 would have Minecraft.
