Hi, taylorswift1321 here. There's going to be a new column in the Scratch Chatter called Scratchers Say. That means it's up to YOU what's in it. We're going to give you a topic for each issue (every 2 weeks) and each supplement (every 2 weeks, alternating with the Scratch Chatter) and we want you to post your opinion. Our favorite submissions will be featured in the Scratchers Say column.
This supplement's topic is: Internet Safety
So, what do you think about Internet safety? Do you have any tips for Scratchers who might not know much about the topic? Have you had any experiences you want to share? Do you want to tell us something about Internet safety in general?
Sorry, but I have to do it. Rules ^-^
--> Don't include any personal information.
--> Don't write anything that will hurt others.
--> Stay on topic - only write about the current topic.
--> Don't write anything inappropriate.
Remember, if we choose your response, we will include your username in the column. If you don't want us to include it, please tell us so!
Thank you for helping the Scratch Chatter! A friendly thanks and a great big hug from all of us!

Paint editor is absolutely awful.
Clones should copy code.
The blocks are a bit uglier but I can deal with it.
In-browser you can't use right-click features I'm accustomed to.

Overall, I can see Scratch 2.0 as a huge milestone. Cloning will be basically OOP. The possibilities for cloud variables are endless- we will probably end up with several RPG's, though the lack of a 'username' block in annoying. The whole motion sensing thing confuses me though. I never figured that block out; does it like sense for your hands or something or does it just give you access to the camera and then you have to figure out how to use that just like any other developer, except with Scratch? And run-time sprite creation will be absolutely great. For me personally, I know that I will most likely spend much of my time making Stick RPG an online multiplayer (adding stuff too).

you can do most of that by shift-clicking

I'm looking forward to cloud variables but other than that nothing really appeals to me that doesn't exist already.
And like soup said it'll take some time getting used to shift-clicking instead of right-clicking.

Scratch 2.0 is a great step forward from 1.4, but as always, moving on has it's downsides. Moving to the cloud is the best new part in my opinion, as this allows for stuff like that without the complicated Mesh. In my opinion, though, Cloning is going to confuse newer Scratchers, and it could already have been done using stamping.

I think it'll be an interesting change; I'm actually most interested in Gobo's friends for some reason. I can't wait till the cloud and it might get me making projects again gasp

I'm fine with the new changes of the Scratch 2.0, but I'm a little sad that forum posts will not be transferred. I'm also disappointed that the friends system will be changed.

What? This doesn't have anything to do with Scratchers Say.
