R.I.P The First man on the moon.
Oh, and don't smiley spam. It's also pretty annoying when you go like "Moooooooooooooooo". No offense, it just kind of looks like spam.

It's a big deal for most people as the moon is the entire Earth's and nationality of who stepped on it shouldn't come into play.
Unless I feel braggy about my country one day, then it always matters.

Let's try not to bring religion into this. Thanks. I don't need another flame war.

That wasn't religion as the moon isn't actually part of a religious heaven.
It was more a nice joke/thought.

whoops
well that's sad
actually i don't agree with this space race, i really think it overshades more important issues and slurps up money
but as he's a person, pretty sad. No more or less than most people, though.

Scientific discovery is one of the most important things for us to spend on, and NASA doesn't get enough.

Plus it puts loads of money into the economy, everyone acts like the rocket's actually made of dollar notes and nobody sees the money again, but in reality those millions and billions are being spent on parts and fuel, which goes to companies which then expand.
Also space travel is an amazing thing, being able to explore things outside of our own atmosphere is a privilege we've not had for millions of years, being able to send a rover that can take high definition pictures of a planet we won't be able to walk on for 100 years or so is pretty darn sweet and what Neil stands for is pretty important, although I disagree with it being a race it's still pretty sad to see him go.
