A more "unified" Scratch Website

Scratch is currently split up into a number of different websites, including the main site, ScratchEd, ScratchResources, Clutter, and (probably) more. ScratchEd isn't really intended for most Scratchers, but ScratchResources and Clutter are, and I feel that those 2 sites should be integrated into the main website.
In-case you didn't know, ScratchResources is an area where you can share scripts, costumes, and sounds with other Scratchers, and I think it would be really helpful for Scratchers, especially new ones. Instead of having a link hidden in the "Support" section of the main website, I believe ScratchResources deserves to have it's own section accessed by the top menu, so that Scratchers could get to it with ease.
Clutter is a place where Scratchers can link their projects together, such as levels for a game or episodes of an animation series. Clutter is much more isolated than ScratchResources (I don't even remember how to access it from the main website at the moment), and I believe it may have been forgotten of by the Scratch Team (or just an idea that didn't work), especially because it lacks the flash player. Clutter seems to be largely independent from Scratch (it has it's own motto), but I believe it could be EASILY be integrated into the Scratch website. When you upload a project to the main site, you should have the ability to connect projects together (like in Clutter), and there should be an area or 2 on the main page for popular "clutters".

THANKS FOR READING!  big_smile
Please share your thoughts about my idea in this forum. Are there any other secondary Scratch websites (or perhaps areas on the main site) that you believe deserve more attention? If so, please share them.

Re: A more "unified" Scratch Website

i believe clutter was simply an experiment although there may be clutter-like functions on the 2.0 site
as for scratch resources i think itd be cool to have an extra tab at the top or whatever linking to that

They should add links to them in the top bar.

Re: A more "unified" Scratch Website

I'd love to have clutter be part of the main site. And also with SR.

Re: A more "unified" Scratch Website

Clutter was a project made by people other than the Scratch Team, iirc - not an experiment. Like the Wiki and Resources.

But I agree, integrating them into the main site somehow would be great.

Clutter was made by paulmedwal, a member of the Scratch Team.

Personally, I believe that Clutter-like functions will appear in 2.0.
(Also I heard that Clutter also server as a beta website for some features of 2.0 but I can't clarify)

The main Clutter feature, connecting projects, won't, i think. Some features will (i think).
