So yeah. Anyone have Skype? I won't post my username because I like staying secret and my mom would get me in trouble. Anyway, I have Skype. Anyone else?

I use it to communicate with far-away relatives and my sister - it's a great tool.

I have one. I use it to IM people I don't know, unless they're my age. Then we MIGHT video chat.
My skype name is [removed by moderator], just message me saying you're from scratch, with your username. I'll only IM you, though. No video chats with people I don't know.

I just have one for chatting with a few friends, though I tend to use Gtalk more often now.

We use it for regularly scheduled meetings among some of our remote Scratch Team members. We find that using a good headset (headphones and microphone combined) really makes a big difference in the quality of the communication!

I have it on a android slate - my computer is too slow and doesn't have sound

Eh, headsets are really one of those things where you could just get the two separate components for way cheaper. You can get a really nice quality desktop microphone and really nice quality headphones for about half the price you could get a really nice quality headset. Headphone sound quality is really only for audiophiles - but mic quality can really make a difference, and headset mics often fall below the standard that you could get for way cheaper. One of my friends just has a like $10 Fry's microphone, and it's really, really clear. My mic that came with my headset, however, has a lot of noise.
Don't get me wrong, I love my headset - it's probably one of the most comfortable pair of over-the-ears I've ever worn. But the price was really only worth the comfort. Receiving sound is pretty good on these things, but one of these days I should really just go to Fry's or somewhere and pick up some really cheap microphone It'll probably work better than my current one.

What's the point of a skype topic with no username sharing
Because sharing Skype usernames is considered personal information, which is blocked by the Community Guidelines. It's about as good of a way to contact someone as by email, phone, mail, etc, which are all not allowed.
On topic, i don't have it. I might get it at some point.

I am aware of the reason behind no username sharing, but I don't understand why a Skype topic should exist without it
