As you might've guessed from the title (probably not), this topic is about the all-time catchiest songs you've ever heard. You know, one of those songs that just stick in your head for days after one listen, to the point where your friends try to plan on revenge on you for humming the song so much.
What is it that makes a song so catchy? Is it a memorable guitar lick, an engaging keyboard line, or maybe it's a spontaneous harmony and melody that floats around an entire song insistently.
No matter the origin of a song's catchiness, there are many songs that just stick to the brain, whether you like it or not. What are some of the catchiest songs you've heard?
There's a lot of songs that have gotten stuck in my head, but the first to come to mind is "Take On Me" by a-ha. Ah, come on, don't pretend you don't know it. Everyone's had it in their head at one point. Y'know, that glossy 80's synthline, the soaring, dramatic vocals, the high-energy, uplifting drum line? You know the one.
What are the catchiest songs to ever come across your mind, though? Come on, don't pretend you've never had a case of earworm. You might even be humming one of them right now.

Everybody knows this one.
Tell me what you want, what you really want. I'll tell you what I want, I really want.
And it goes on like that.
It's annoying, but catchy. I heard it on some TV show.

Out of all the people that have heard it, how may do you think don't get it stuck in their heads? =P

I know the chorus but I really only find myself mentally repeating it when it's mentioned.
And, uh, YMCA // Village People
We played it in band everyday so it got hard to not think about.

It happens to me a lot, which is why I end up listening to songs over and over (as can be seen sometimes on my last.fm).

I listen to a song by the Beatles, any song, and it's stuck. For some reason, I'm very susceptible to song sticking in my head...
