That said, I'm really loving "Not Your Fault" by AWOLNATION.I don't think that song fits any of the genres mentioned...
Some consider it alternative but it's more pop sounding to me, but then again most songs that aren't quite "pop" get grouped into alternative these days. ( D': ) Although I do find Not Your Fault an acceptable song, and I really enjoy their popular "Sail".
As for me, I'm listening to nothing at the moment, except singing Morning Bell kind of, and thinking that I might record a cover of it if I ever feel like it.
I don't really listen to pop, don't like it very much, but I got a Stone Temple Pilots album a year ago (self-titled) and the computer labeled it as "pop," which really irritated me.

Man, computers can be wrong sometimes. Stone Temple Pilots is nowhere near pop - for the most part, they are grunge, hard rock, and alternative rock.

House is a form of electronic. They need to get a limit so that there aren't too many genres and it becomes cluttered. They can't really put house, dubstep, brostep, progressive house, trip hop, ambient, techno, synthpop, electro, electro-indie, deep house, chiptune, Nintendocore, dial-up modem, etc. That would be too cluttered, so they put electronica, because everything falls under that.

Electronica is not the same as electronic. One (electronic) is a general term and another (electronica) is a narrower, but still broad subcategory. ^^

Owl City!
Can't tell if real hootowl or just likes him because of Good Time and Fireflies.
I could rant long and hard about Owl City/Adam Young. His newer album seems to be....more mainstream. I don't want to sound mainstream, but it his synthpop electronica sound was much better than his pop sound on the album that was released this week.
I'm still gonna buy it but he's changed. I realize that change is a part of life, but sometimes think that it's not for the best,
I mean, he used to record and produce all of his music in his basement. In this new album he's gone to a studio (his own I believe, but still) and had cowriters.
I'm still buying his album, but I just wanted to get that out...
