You need to first off have a 64 bit OS and a build that supports it (which I'm guessing you have if it says you have 4GB), then you need to tell Minecraft to start up with more RAM allocated to it, which a quick Google search will bring up, although I think it's pretty complicated.

Or you can use the Technic launcher, which allows you to choose how much RAM to use, just select vanilla from the list.

You can launch minecraft with a terminal/cmd prompt command to specify amount of RAM to start off with.

I found an NPC village on the same seed (seed = JamieA Project). At spawn there will be a jungle, plains, and ice plains. Face away from the jungle, and walk in a straight line.You will reach a Swampland. Keep going and you should see some pumpkins. Carry on until you see a desert then you should be in the NPC! Next to it is a mineshaft where I found my FIRST MELLON SEEDS! :DDD

Actually, castles are usually a long wall, surrounding a collection of buildings, often with very small towers at the corners. And I'm basing this partly off a real life castle nearby, so I'm pretty sure I know what they're like.

Hey, that reminds me, probably the best new feature is that mobs can travel through portals! Think of the possibilities! Oh, and if I were you, I'd move that Nether Portal OUT of your house. And build a nice big wall around your base. :3

SIDE NOTE: Apparently, any mob can go through any portal, so if it were possible to make nether portals bigger you could theoretically bring ghasts into the overworld without creative move. yikes
