Scratch

This is my first language other than Scratch and a little HTML (the language used to make websites). I am learning on codecademy.com

Khan Academy for me.  And English is my first language.  Scratch and JS are my only two programming languages, but this topic is too general and there already is a JS topic.  Reporting to be closed.

I don't think this topic should be closed! Its not just for Javascript, its for any programming language outside of Scratch! I think this thread will be very helpful to me and to many other people if it stays open. Please don't close this thread.

Turns out we already have a number of topics involving other programming languages:

A general discussion of popular languages

A start at a database of other languages and where you can obtain them

App programming

...and a number of others, just use the Search utility for the forums.  So I don't think we need another general purpose programming topic - please use one of the existing ones.

While we appreciate the report - It's probably best if you don't make statements like this...it immediately turned the focus of the topic away from the subject and into a discussion about whether the topic should survive or not.   The moderator is going to make that determination anyway -  so there was no need to distract everybody else and derail the conversation.
