Anybody for a Diablo-Like ?
Hey everyone, Anarcial's speaking !
My project today is a Hack'n Slash, but see from above (no 3D, on scratch would be a little bit harder).
More precisely it would be a mix between The Elder Scrolls and Diablo, so a large open world with many enemies and a power of destruction liker you have never see it before !
Too large project ? For 2 guys yes, but I'm searching for many others :
- 2 others programmers, so we should be 3
- A Sprite Artist, and a map artist (which are not exactly the same, one for character, the other for places)
- A writer (because I just can't find a story...)
- A Sound director (for music AND sounds), or 2 (one musics, one sounds)
- And anyone that would like to contribute, we'll never be enough for this ^^
I have to tell you that I'm not to bad in programming, so we can tell that we have a good point !

As I said all help will be accepted !
Just, for the sprites, I think we need to find a writer... because if we don't really know the time of the story... we'll probably be in the wrong setting... but if you want you can make Weapons (there will always be swords, guns, axes, sticks, claws) and the different parts of armors... so yeah, you can do that if you, I would appreciate it a lot !
So I will make a list of the participant to the project... for now we're only 2, but if people wants, I think we can make a little team ! That'd be great ^^

So now.... well you have to give us a script, that'd be nice ! Just the main story, because I think we'll try to make some secondary missions, or it would be too short...
But send us a message for your script because we can't really start without...

I trust you on your projects. So you're good for program ? that's cool, because I've just begun some aspects of the game, and I was going to tell the priority to do :
So, now that we are 4 (in one day, that's pretty great !), I can tell to everyone what they have to do :
Cylon, begin with the weapons and the armor, but as soon as Snow will give us the script, I'd like you to make a complete map of the game, and after, the hero, but first the map !
Snow, you know you have to do the story, it's the most important, because without it we can't place an environment to the game... and that's pretty bad ^^
Drake, if you want to help, make the first menu of the game, not the in-game menu you know, the main menu, I'm doing the in-game for now...
Ho, we'll have to give each other our mail address, mine, for the scratch projects, and JUST for Scratch, is Anarcial@hotmail.fr...
So, if you want to send me your work, send me it here !

Well did you ever played to Diablo ?
That's a crush in your Video Games culture !
Hum... the basics of Diablo is : Kill monsters, collect the items of the monsters, earn experience, become stronger, sell the items, and kill other monsters... that's the basics of a typical Hack'n Slash, Diablo is the best exemple !

Hey everybody, hum could you send me a mail to the address I gave you, because I need to send you the menu, and I need the sprites, the story, and I'd like to see, if you have already began Firedrake, the start menu !

I don't know if you still read the post, but Cylon, if you could make 4 different types : the warrior, the wizard, the bowman, and the monk, that would be great, I'm making the screen for the selection of the character !
