Hello.

Hi, I'm Cardigan~

So I've lurked the site for about an hour after downloading the software (which is simple and versatile to create in, bravo to the development team) and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in the community. I expected a little more advanced projects and conversations, but oh well. That's what you get for downloading a children's software.

Anyways, I'm thoroughly interested in why you make it so difficult for new users to use your forums. My only guess is that you're protecting from spammers and the sorts..? I don't think people would target a site for 8-10 year olds with advertising and pornography. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know how long I'm going to stick around with such a tight leash, but for now I'll try to upload some projects.

Thanks.

Re: Hello.

Hello!

As for the community, some people are very advanced.  You just haven't met them yet.

For your second question, you are relatively new and haven't seen any troll attcks.

If you upload a few projects and post a couple times, you soon be a normal Scratcher and most restrictions won't apply.

The only restriction that would still apply once you become a Scratcher, that I am aware of, is the wait between each post, though that is reduced to 60 seconds thankfully. So post a bit on the forums and make a project or two. After a month or so, you'll be a scratcher!

Other than that, welcome to Scratch!

Re: Hello.

Hello. I am an entirely un-advanced ex-famous person. You would know who I am.
That's why I'm introducing myself, obviously. That was a really mature speech, congrats to you. You'll probably be famous one day. But be nicer to us hopeless little kids. We don't know anything worth knowing.
