Which Poll are you voting for? 'How much do you like this library'
Which option are you voting for? 'I love it!'
Reason: Its well thought out, well executed, and a clever, fun idea.

As for the mascot - I don't really like the mascot, sorry. If you want, I could upload a more cartoony, fun version of him.
As for names, I'm thinking....
Allen
Edgar
George
Herbert
Orwell
William

Since he is a library's mascot, I think he should have the name of a classic author.

Re: The Bookworm Studios Library~ Read stories by Scratchers like you!

One thing I really dislike about this, is that I post my story, and then you re-post it. It makes sense to me, don't get me wrong, you need the logo and all the links and stuff, but then I wish I could delete my story after.
That is the problem with the thread: It will get cluttered, fast.
Maybe have a separate topic for making books?
Here's an idea, turn this topic into a writing topic, and then make the library topic in Reading and Playing.
People post books in the writing one, and you re-post them, all fancied up on the  reading one.

And another thing... the rating system I'm not sure about because it seems like you are just using random ages with a + tacked on the end.
I think it would need to be stuff like 10-13, I mean think about it:
You have a book for toddlers. You rate it 3+. Most people over three will have no interest whatsoever in that book. However, if you rate it with an age range, like 3-6, people will know exactly what ages will enjoy.
I propose these 4:
[1-5]
[6-8]
[9-12]
[13+]

I'd give your book 9-12 and mine 13+ (or 19-12 but with some 'tags' tacked on.)
Speaking of the tags, here are what I propose and my explanation.
(Crude Humor): Crude humor is pretty innocent 'rude' stuff (think captain underpants). This would make [1-5] become [6-8]
(Young Romance): Nothing to intimate, it would be like a book that has some boy/girl stuff, perhaps a bit of hand-holding, hugging, or kissing, but please, nothing too much. This would make [6-8] become [9-12]
(Mild Described Gore): This would make [9-12] become [13+]
(Mild Violent Scenes): This would make [6-8] become [9-12]
(Mild Frightening Scenes): This would make [9-12] become [13+] (well it depends how scary, but generally that is what would happen)
(Sensitive Themes): This means the book deals with death and other stuff like that. This would make [6-8] become [9-12]

If the tags are too complicated, don't use them. I like to over complicate  tongue
Please do not think I am trying to take this project into my hands. I just like this so much and I have tons of ideas that could make it better.

By the way, can someone review my story?

Re: The Bookworm Studios Library~ Read stories by Scratchers like you!

this has a really good premise, just a few kinks to work out.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I click like more than half of the genres, there are no books. This gets very annoying, as all I'm doing is trying to find a book here, and it's bad for you because people think you have no books. My suggestion is that you completely take away these links with no books, including the text, until you get a book in that genre.

It also seems like people don't understand that you'll take any genre. Use this to your advantage! Plainly state on the topic post that you'll accept any book, then list any small exceptions, like frequent cussing, gore, etc.

Sorry If I went a little overboard, I just think this is a great idea for a topic.

Oh, by the way, thanks for giving some inspiration credit to me.

1 more thing: the worm's name? Jeffrey.  big_smile
