Hmm... Looked around NP, didn't see any spam. You would expect they stay longer because the newer people might not know what to do.

I flagged it!
No, I mean if spammers really started spamming NP, we would see more than just 1.

If they start attacking newest that would be really low. I mean people on the top loved and viewed generally know how to deal with spam much better since they are usually older or more experienced. But imagine if you are 5 years old and you get spambots all over your stuff...

Well, the bots don't even know what newest means...

Spambots spam featured, top _____, and I think curated projects. But... Newest? That's not right.

This particular spambot spams the front page. So it's not much of a surprise that they would spam the Newest projects on the front page.
[edit]Come to think of it, maybe they're trying to find an easy way to spam without being seen. On black hat SEO websites and blogs, they do warn that Scratch is one of those websites where spam is caught easily so they warn spammers to find ways to spam the website without being seen easily. How evil and vile of them.[/edit]
@soniku3: Please don't repost the spam. All that does it increase the chances of search engines picking up the spam on the website, which is what we don't want.

@cheddargirl- Yeah, they would obviously just spam the front page, it's reasonable. But, at your edit, newest is a good target for spammers because the projects don't stay up on the front page. I can't think of anyone who would do that on a .edu site, much less Scratch.

Well, now that we know that spammers can spam in the forums and on projects, I think there aren't that many other places to spam. You can't use tags, because you can't link to a custom website with them, and the Scratch Stats page uses Disqus, which I think is pretty good.

But they don't stay there for days, like featured or curated...
