Hi everyone!
My 1st gallery has a lot of projects, its the 3rd largest gallery on scratch!
I need you guys to help make it the biggest!
Add your best project(s), or add all of your projects!
While your there, make sure you look at some of the projects!
This was my first gallery so its really important to me. It was featured once but it was taken off the list.
Im trying to turn it into the ultamite gallery, where other ppl look at your projects & you look at theirs! For all the oldies around here, it willl be a bit like the good ol' days of scrach! You can see the gallery here: http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/56
Thanks!
-Mick

Mick, what is good about having a huge gallery of projects that no one has selected for quality or theme? You could go around to all the users and add their projects to you galleries, good stuff and terrible stuff. What's the point?
A gallery is valuable if it collects together projects that a group of people want to look at. The value is in the selection, not in the size.
It can be games that you like (so if someone else has the same taste in games that you do, they can find games there that they like). It can be a particular theme (like Harry Potter, or math, or names projects). It can be projects by a group of people who work together.

A sort by most number of visits to the gallery, or by the average number of visits or loveits for projects in the gallery, would be more useful for finding good projects than just big galleries.

Nothing to be sorry about, Mick. I was just pointing out that the ambition to have the biggest gallery is not very interesting to others. Trying to gather the best projects is much more interesting. Trying to find and gather all the projects with a common theme is also interesting.
What do *you* look for in a scratch project? What games or movies do *you* want to see in a gallery? Start with a core like this, then ask others to help you find other projects that fit.

Hmm... well, I made this gallery for no theme. So that everyone can put in their projects. It seemed like a good idea at the time...
I guess I like platform games that arent too difficult. But I think Ill make a different gallery for that. Who knows, it could be featured.

Hey Mick, you have been in Scratch for such a long time and in some ways you are as much of an expert in the Scratch community as the Scratch Team. I know you're a big fan of Club Penguin and I also know there are tons of CP projects in Scratch. It would be realllllly cool if you could create a gallery with the CP project that you like the most. I just mentioned CP because you like that, but you could choose any other theme that you like. If you could be a detective and collect the best projects on certain topic we would consider it for the home page. Kevin is right that a gallery with lots of projects might not be as cool as a gallery with a smaller and very well picked number of projects. At the time when you created the Mick Gallery the site was still new and it was an honor for a lot of people to be selected in your gallery, now that the site has so many project, you can be very picky and choose only the very best projects on your gallery. Kind of like what curators do in museums by choosing only the very best pieces of art

i agree with Andresmh,
quality>>> quantity
that what the "good 'ol days" were about
fewer projects, but they were interesting and EVERYONE checked them out

The automatic insertion of blocks is a bit annoying when you don't want them.
Is it possible to change the web site so that the blocks only display inside of the bracketed "blocks" delimiters?
