Collaborations: Easier Sharing, Simpler Process

Collaborations seem to be getting pretty popular, do I thought of some new ways to make them even easier, as Scratch 2.0 should have.

On your "My Stuff" page, on the left hand side underneath galleries could be "My Collabs". Those would be collaborations that you are head of and ones your part of. You can create a collaboration just like a gallery. you would name it and add an optional picture (logo). Then you add a description. After that you have a section called "Members". First, you can add "Groups" ad in those groups you add the members. You can only add a member to a group. You can name Groups, so you can have your Programmers group and so forth.
But it even gets easier. To add someone to your collaboration, you go to their my stuff page and you an select a thing which says "Add to Collab" and then you select the Group you want them in and then you click "confirm". However, the user can't be added yet. They receive a notification saying "(user) wants you to join (collaboration" in Group (group). Accept Decline.
If they accept they will be added. Then, in Scratch, the user will have the ability to right click on a script and "Send to Collab". Then you select the script and send it to the chosen Collab. You could also do the same for a whole sprite or just costumes. You can also send sounds and backgrounds. With this the Collab Creator can then export the exported scripts, sounds, etc. to his own project by clicking on the scripts, sound, etc. (which will be on the left hand side of the Collab page) and selecting the project.
When the Creator uploads the final project they can "Upload as a Collab" or just upload the project normally. If they upload it as a Collab it will appear in the collaboration page so it's not just on one users page. It will show the project creator as the collaboration name and it will give a link to the collaborations page.
Some other little things would be featured collaborations under featured galleries, writing a description with scripts, sounds, etc. you export to the Collab. Also other things such as Making the exported scripts, sounds, etc. only visible to members, and also adding users to multiple groups and removing them too.

I think with Scratch 2.0 this might be possible to make since its all online.

Suggestion

Mesh should be able to make multiplayer games... This collab thing has been suggested and denied for security issues.  smile  Hope this helps!

Re: Collaborations: Easier Sharing, Simpler Process

You could click on a collab name and enter a collab-shared password (it will be given to them in their notifications) and access unfinished Scratch projects and save them to that directory.
