Mario Opinion: The most Overrated, old game. Sure, you're controlling the alter ego of Jump man, but, I say it's always the same thing OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Nothing different, and more for Intense gamers. And it gets old after a while, ESPECIALLY when nintendo is trying to make it SO popular.
My Pokemon Opinion: Something new in each game. Different Regions, new characters, Pokemon, and + It facinates me. You take control of a 10-15 year old Boy/girl and travel through the Region, defeating gym leaders and Enemies/allies as you go, on your quest to become the best.(Sorry, Dont mean to rhyme) It's Nintendo's second best-selling game.
My Choice?
The Legend Of Zelda. (XD) Uh, sorry? Pokemon.
Reshiram/Zekrom/scrafty.I kinda agree on the Mario opinion, but at least it has more varitey than Pokemon. In pokemon, it's just pretty much the same game everytime, only with new pokemon, new story, and other little things. You still try to get all the badges, beat the Elite Four, catch new pokemon, trade them, battle the bad guys, and all that. The biggest improvement to the series was Diamond/Pearl, and it hasn't changed much since then.
On the other hand, Mario is... well, I guess it hasn't changed much either. But I still like Mario better. This is just my opinion.
Zeeeeeeldaaaaa...... Cmon' peoplez! VOTE LoZ! Okay. But Pokemon is very much a casual game. It's always kinda new. and with Black/White 2 coming out. The graphics and storylines are better each time, so it makes you anticipate each game more than the last. They practically have no end to the series. Mario, well, Uh, always the same and EXTREMELY hard to the point of impossibility to write a good Roleplay on it. sure, the graphics are better each time, but, noting new.
How mario is:
Buy "new" game
Bowser captures Peach
go through levels
Kill bowserby pressing button and lava burns him
you save peach
game over
You buy "new" game/Sequel
and it starts again
How pokemon is:
You get New game
you start
help the professor
catch legend
be the best
beat the champion
complete pokedex
battle wifi
restart doing a challenge
beat the challenge
complete pokedex
get New game
and it stars again.

Note: Topic title is Pokemon vs Mario so you can't vote for LoZ (i know you weren't serious but you didn't choose between Pokemon and Mario)

What has that got to do with the game?
I could easily just say (though i do like Zelda):
'New' Zelda game:
Zelda is captured/whatever
Link goes to various areas to find some thing(s)
Swings sword
Gets better stuff
Beats Ganon/whatever with sword
game over
Buys new game
[/rant]
You should love all the games like me :>
