I have Final Fantasy VII for the PS1 (play it on a PS2) and absolutely love it.
I'm interested in what the rest of the series has to offer, so which game(s) should I get next?
I'm not getting any of the 2D ones, because they're too expensive for me right now. I will get them at some point though (especially IV and VI).
And beyond that let's just discuss the series in general. My favorite character in FFVII is Barret, because I like that he's fighting to make the world a better place for his daughter.

Are there any Final Fantasy fans here? Am I (hate to use this meme, but) "forever alone"?
I know this isn't the topic (it was closed) but here's a bad song to play at a funeral: Buried Alive by Avenged Sevenfold.) Sorry I just had to tell you that and I saw you posted here.)

I have I, II, and IV for the Game Boy Advance. I also really like Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3, which are from the Mana series which originated as a FF side-series

I have my Wii's demo version of FFCC: My Life As A Darklord. I want to play more FF, though!

I had IV some time ago, but unfortunately I don't remember much of it. Pretty much everything I know for piano comes from Final Fantasy (mostly VII). I have Final Fantasy X and I love it! Unfortunately I've been stuck on the Bevelle's flying bird-thing for months. I killed it once, too! But my last party member died of poison the same turn D:<.
Fun fact: Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the original Final Fantasy, had been becoming increasingly unsatisfied with his works. He had intended it to be his final game, hence the name.

You should totally get VII.
If you get a PS1 memory card, it'll work on a PS2 (which is what I assume you're playing X on). If you downloaded X from the PSN for PS3, than VII's available for $10 there.
If you get a physical copy it'll cost around $25 used, $20 if you're lucky. If you want to get it complete it'll cost around $35. Not very cheap, but most certainly worth it as it's one of the best games I've ever played.

FFVI is too expensive? If you have a Wii, you can get it on the Wii Virtual Console for 800 Wii points. That's, like, 8 bucks, right?
It's under the name Final Fantasy III in the US, but that's because several Japanese FFs weren't released in the US. But it's the same game, and it's the best game in the series.

I don't have a Wii. I'm planning on getting a Wii U soon, but I'm an SNES collector so I want the original cartridge.
And yes, I know about the American/Japanese FF's.

Just wondering if anyone has an idea: why is Square Enix making an HD remix of Final Fantasy X, but not Final Fantasy VII? I thought that they were roughly as good as each other. (Don't kill me, I haven't played FF7)

It's funny how you compare VII and X, because Square Enix says that they exist in the same mini-verse.

You mean the Shinra thing? BTW, does that mean that Shinra is the kid's last name?
