!!URGENT!! Need Ideas for OS !!URGENT!!
Hi fellow scratchers,
I really need help for my operating system called exDROIDinary OS. Now, I am out of ideas and need some good ones, like an OS boot intro or something similar to that. So if you could help that will make me feel

some suggestions:
A)a login/logout feature
B)prefrences
C)multiple windows can be open at the same time
D)a background feature

Don't forget Draggable Windows
How about a CMD or a task mannager?

Yup. Draggable windows are what gives OSs that real feeling.
Just remember to include a start menu!
I recommend you add these apps.
1) Anti-virus that detects viruses.
2) Music player.
3) Music editor.
4) Animation software (compatible with #6).
5) Paint.
6) Some vector editor, like Inkscape.
7) A few games, such as Chess, Solitaire, and Pac-Man.
8) Scratch! It'll be hard, but possible.
9) A download app feature.
10) People can make their own apps.
11) Apps can be added using the Import Project feature.
Here are some thins you might want to watch our for:
Paint is easy to mess up. It's good to be perfectionistic here as you'll seek out all bugs and remove them. Some common bugs are the paint not clearing, continuing to paint if you hold in the mouse button when you press the close button, etc.
Start menu shouldn't have a close button, it should close when anything but itself is clicked.
NO HAND-DRAWN GRAPHICS, use Inkscape or Blender or something.
You can take this OS as an example for graphics and windows.

Okay, I Have built my own Operating System before and this is what I will say to this Question... Try to make it as similar as Windows or Mac as Possible!
So here are some Ideas some of them are already included in posts before this one some are not
Recommendations to making the Project
Make it as Big as possible even if it takes a year to build!
Keep going and never give up building it...
Programs and suggestions for the OS
Internet Explorer of some type (Possibly different Name)
E-Mail Program of some sort
Media Program (Like Windows Media Player or iTunes) of some sort
Changeable Desktop backgrounds
A Real life save and open Log on screen (Using Scratches Export and Import System)
Windows File explorer
Fully interactive Task Bar at the Bottom, Top or Side of the OS (With Minimize)
Desktop Apps, Like a Clock or Calculator
Drag-able Windows (Just like in real Windows or Mac OS)
Microsoft Office Type of thing (Text-Edit for Mac) A Notepad in other words
A Drawing and Painting App
Definitely some Simple Games! (Even Complex games work well)
Picture editing App
Mini Facebook or message boards App
Downloadable into Scratch Program Feature (App Store in other words)

That's Call! Loving the Name to! Snow Leopard! You should make up different Animal names that Apple Have not made yet, Like, Well I Don't know... Snow Dragon!? Anyway, Sounds cool and I Will like it when it is complete!
