Brian, you have an incredibly funny sense of humor... for a liberal.

Hi Jens and Brian. I don't know, if it fits here, but I found a little bug and also have a small suggestion:
-> You can rename the stage
-> New sprites should be undraggable by default

I just created a beautiful new signature so you could tell between us.
Unfortunately, I'm at a loss at how to fit a 5000x600 image into the space provided. -_-

Divide by ten?

New problem: the URLs make for 703 characters, and I don't think Tiny URL will clip it enough.
I want the rest of my sig.....
Guess that'll have to do.

bit.ly?
EDIT: I have to mention that your sig looks very nice.
EDIT2: Techwiq is past it's launch date. :3

snap! should have I/O support.

Only goes so far. The full signature with everything bit.ly'd is still 470 characters.

is.gd? xD
EDIT: You could also drop the "http://" part.
EDIT2: Drop the "www" in the images too.

Try removing the arrows. I don't think they serve much of a purpose.

Nah, tried it and it looks bad. It's a method of organization too (links to the right of the first apply to "Jack", links to the right of the second apply to "Techwiq"). And links don't function in the signatures without http://. Or do they...?
EDIT: Correction, images don't work without http://.

Launch dates are overrated.

Yes, it should. We are limited by the Javascript security model, but will eventually work out a nice general downloadable companion that will let us do anything for people who choose to download it, because we need it for things like robots. But, you know, if we allow general I/O, sooner or later someone will write a virus using Snap! and then we'll be in hot water.

Ooh, I know where you live! Have your parents gotten less paranoid, or did this slip by them somehow?
P.S. Is there a story about the Italian-flag-looking picture behind your name in the sig?

Feel free to Skype me anytime. I miss a good political debate. I'm probably going to take off some of the personal contact information. No one uses snail mail anymore. My dad probably wouldn't approve of the cell# being up there, but mostly because it makes me a target for spam and my plan is pay-by-the-minute
Do you know of a free web-based phone service? (Probably too much to hope for)

As a matter of fact, there is! I made it back in my Blender-obsessed days. It's a Cornell Box which can be used to judge the quality of a renderer and see artificial light physics at it's best. 3D animation is still a secondary hobby of mine when I'm not programming.

Invisibility ftw.
I feel bad because this has become Shadow's discussion page.

Cool. I've been writing a raytracer in JavaScript; resulting in Safari hanging a record number of times in the past month.
P.S. What's Techwiq?

Well maybe projects could only modify files in a snap! folder, not anything outside of it. That way you can still write persistent data to a file and the user of a computer could put a file in this folder if they want it to be modified or read by a snap! project and if they wanted it to not be accessible to snap! they can simply put it outside this folder.

Thanks for mentiong these. Being able to rename the stage is a feature, not a but. You can rename the stage in Scratch, too. (I sometimes rename mine to "deep space" or "island" etc.)
Should new sprites be undraggable by default? That's a good question, because - you're right - most of the time I end up making mine undraggable. However, I also think it would be quite an impediment if you couldn't move them around as you first create them. What do you think?
