How to Make a Picture a Project's Thumbnail

Does anyone know how to make a certain picture a projects thumbnail? I saved it as that being the only thing visible, but it won't work. Thanks in advance.

Re: How to Make a Picture a Project's Thumbnail

As far as I'm aware, there isn't any way to just change the picture to anything unless that picture is somewhere in the project. Maybe a sprite or background that hides/changes when the project starts.

BTW: the thumbnail is what the project looks like when you hit upload.

Was the project already uploaded before by any chance?

Oh, yes. But the thumbnail DID change. It changed to another part of my project.

Make a new sprite. Set the costume to the icon. Add script: when gf clicked hide. Upload. Done.  cool

The thumbnail will take about a day to update, though.  smile

Re: How to Make a Picture a Project's Thumbnail

To do it instantly, delete the project with the wrong thumbnail (don't if it's got lots of views :3) and duplicate the project file, then upload the duplicate (with the image shown when you upload, like BirdByte said) and it'll work. You have to name the project slightly differently though.

Say if you were doing it for Eternal Orbs, maybe you could call it '-Eternal Orbs-' or 'Eternal Orbs- play in flash!'  wink

the best way is to rename "Eternal Orbs" before you delete it. Just rename it, like "dviluasgdvuidfv" and then you can re-upload with the same name.

The same thing happened to me, and that didn't work too for me.

Please do not necropost. That's posting on an old, irrelevant topic.

When you upload the project make sure before you do have the page you want on the Scratch program

How was the necropost irrelevant? He's saying that the technique is not working for him, so it would be best to hear it him out and figure out why.

It just seemed like it was since it was so old. Ok then.
