SCRATCH Live?

I'm sure some of you at least know what Xbox Live is. It's where two game systems can connect, and platy together without any different controls for any player. Why not have this for Scratch 2.0? We could have blocks that have something happen for on specific person and a block that opens the project up to Scratch Live. It would also be a way for collabs. What does everyone think of this idea?

Re: SCRATCH Live?

We will have cloud data which could connect people, but I don't think its priority to make this scratch live.

Re: SCRATCH Live?

The mesh mod allows this, but I don't think it should be implemented because Scratch is designed for kids, and networking doesn't seem to be a priority. cloud variables would allow some connections. It depends what reporters could be used in regards to cloud variables, for example if you could clone a character sprite, and have it so that only if the person with a certain ID is pressing left will the clone go left, thereby making it the same controls

Re: SCRATCH Live?

It's already possible with Mesh.

There's also a more advanced way: Connecting to a server using Python and Remote Sensor Connections. Magnie has done this before.
