Title says it all, really. Probably not, I think.


Who would win, SOPA or PIPA?

No, Scratch 2.0 will be a complete migration to the Flash based system. There will later on, also be a HTML5 player online.

No, sorry. We're abandoning Squeak in favor of Flash. Maintaining two different versions of Scratch would be extremely problematic for a variety of reasons. That does mean losing some of the nice things that Squeak offered, like easy modification, but it's been determined a worthwhile trade-off.

Harakou, as always, is correct.

I'm sure the source code for 2.0 will be released for modding as well, but it'll be in Actionscript which is a little more complex than Squeak.
