Re: dual booting mac and widows.

Well, you'll need to buy Mac OS X in whatever version you want for however much it is. Then you'll need to consult the OSx86 wiki on pages like this.

Re: dual booting mac and widows.

It won't cost you much in terms of money -- about 30 dollars if you're buying SLeopard I believe! (Some people use online hacked versions specifically for x86 PCs, but I don't know how legal that is)

However it will cost you lots in terms of time. I tried on different computers (including a Toshiba Qosmio!) and failed epically each time. So would it be too much to ask you to keep us posted here and tell us if you succeed?  big_smile

I think it's $19.99 for Mountain Lion.

I never got anything above SL running on a PC ever though!
Others work in VMs, but Lion etc won't...

You can't buy Snow Leopard anymore though, except on like Amazon.

Yes but ML is only availible in the app store if you already have SL or Lion.  They're not selling it in boxes.

Actually their still selling it in some of the retail stores because you need it to update to Lion + Mountain Lion.  It's a great gimmick on their part - wanna get ML from tiger, sure you just have to buy snow leopard too!
