Hide Your Variables!

Nothing bothers me more than seeing a greatly designed project with the default Scratch variables showing for money, time, score etc. Learn to hide your variables! It will make your projects more attractive. More attractive = more views! If you take a look at my game, Cyber Defense, you can see I remixed a stamping score mechanism to work flawlessly. Feel free to import that into your own projects! If you're unsure on how to do this and/or you would like me to do it for you, please contact me either here or on a project of mine with a comment requesting it. I'm always glad to be of assistance.

Re: Hide Your Variables!

You have a good point. Also, using stamping + a sprite for representing a variable doesn't cause the flash/online glitch that causes the variables to appear in the wrong location. I only use default variables though since it's much easier.

That's the thing! It makes scratcher's think you don't care enough about your projects to not be lazy!

I agree, but what if they want them showing?

Good point, but no matter what, I'll always assume someone is careless and lazy about their projects if they leave the default variables showing. That's just me.

For some projects, it's simply not practical to make one, nonetheless I still prefer it, but in things like engines or showing how something works it's far better to use defaults
