super-turbo

Scratch should have a mode for projects that adds a lot more memory. This could be useful for 3D projects.

Re: super-turbo

Why have a MODE that adds more memory? Why not just add memory to the whole thing.

Essentially what Turbo Mode does is remove the block delay - which makes all scripts happen almost instantaneously. As such, a script like this:

when gf clicked
move (10) steps
move (10) steps
move (10) steps
Would basically make your sprite move 30 steps, instantly. Which would be very confusing for newer Scratchers, no?

Turbo Mode does not, in fact, add more memory. In fact, Scratch has ample memory for running projects - it's mostly editing projects that uses it all up, which is why moving around massive scripts can take years.

Re: super-turbo

Coolstuff is correct (as always).

Plus, super-turbo wouldn't be possible, unless the scripts are modified and the project is played in normal turbo.  hmm
