A glitch?

Every time I find a spider jockey in 1.3.1, the skeleton is frozen.

Well, uh, how would he not die underwater while doing all that in survival?

well uh that is actually all legit
and it's easy to do that without dying, you just have to go up every few seconds

Search for a survival island to start out with. Then? Google earth. In Vintagebeefs episode 92 (mindcack season 2) he builds a single head.

-Open Minecraft>(Don't login)Options>Force Update

Can't connect to minecraft.net now at all when I try to login to the game at the launcher.

I don't think it's something with my MC, more like a general problem.

It will most likely require diamonds to craft, and need a lot of storage blocks to fully power.

What I really don't like is how expensive it is. You have to put it on a pyramid of diamond blocks or emerald blocks or something, it's like it requires creative mode.

They should have done a flat-out survival restriction.

The idea of obtaining powers just seems like it ruins the game and adds unfitting technology.

I've said this before, people always complain about new things being unfitting. The nether, potions, enchanting, all were complained about! A lot of people accept potions and enchanting now, and nearly everyone is fine with the nether. Change happens, deal with it.

i like it.
it is super @#$%ing expensive and only works for 16 blocks

This beacon work-in-progress thing though is ridiculous! Unless you're willing to spend a month just sitting at your computer, it's impossible to get so many diamonds or emeralds to make a whole, solid, 4-high pyramid of them on survival! Of course it's a lot easier to do it in creative mode, but then it has no real use because, well, you're in creative mode!

Of course this whole block-pyramid thing could be just a placeholder. It is a work in progress after all, and what I'm thinking is some generated structure that you can put these beacon things on.
