A few days ago I had a random idea: Make a portal board game, with everything as close to the original game as possible. I plan to make the movement system based on Racetrack (yay I can post external links!) with acceleration downward by 2 squares/turn/turn. Chell would move at 1 square/turn, but without the acceleration (ex. Instead of change xv by 5, change x by 5). The one problem is the timing puzzles, except I don't really care about those (I'm not a fan of timing most of the time (lol? ) ).
Portals, turrets, etc.. will be seperate pieces of paper (or whatever the game is made of).
I think it will be possible to put the 3D-ness into a 2D board game, although it may be hard for some test chambers.
Maybe some sections will have a "If you are there, open the flap" and under the flap would be somthing GLaDOS says at that point (but that would take forever for some parts).
Any thoughts, ideas, or comments? I probably won't have time to make this in the near future though

Cool idea! I bet Portal is pretty awesome, I've never played it but I've heard a lot about it.
Oh, and congratulations on becoming a Scratcher! You deserved it!
Thanks (for both ).
And portal is fun, although I don't have it ( )
