As a new scratcher, I recommend that you could try looking around the scratch website a bit to get yourself used to it, because you'll be using it quite a bit in the future. Try leaving some comments, and while your at it, keep track of scratch project ideas that you like.
If there is one that you particularly like, and if it is easy enough, you could try making it! If you need help, just go the scratch forums, or go to the scratch resources website, which can be found through Google. Work on your project a bit and try to learn from it! You'll need this for future projects. When you finish it, just click the button that looks like a file with an arrow on it to upload it. Remember that it doesn't have to be perfect. A lot of my projects weren't, but I learned from them, and they eventually improved. Also remember that your projects will probably get only a few views, not many, but that doesn't mean that it's bad! I've found quite a few projects that had a very small amount of views, but they were really great.
Remember this overall:
Stay optimistic, be patient, and keep scratching!

Well! Welcome to Scratch! The people here are some of the most agreeable people you'll meet on the internet! Just get to making some projects and before you know it, you'll be making friends, Doing collaboration projects, and get a good feel for programming and drawing! You are free to remix and even use some drawings/scripts, but do not steal anything; If you use anything that you didn 't make, please give credit to the owner, okay? Go ahead and get started! Make projects, go wild with your imagination!
