Thought the same when I saw Spirit Tracks, but staring at this new poster, I feel that the Zelda series is far from a flop.
Not that I disagree with the "Old Zelda" being the best, I just think that certain titles are slightly overrated.
(List of loved Zelda games: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass)

Here on the forums I read that Twilight Princess was voted as the best Zelda game ever. It's the most recent, although many people would argue in Ocarina of Time's favor. I really don't have much experience with this though, I've only played Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link from the Wii Shop Channel.

It really depends.
Pretty much every site I go to that has a "most popular zelda" poll has Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time tied or one in the lead.

People really prefer Ocarina there.
Also, people tend to forget Majora's Mask. It was great and should get more praise from fans.
(tbh, I voted TP. They didn't have a two or three option thing there. Otherwise I would've put down OoT and MM as well)
(also, sorry if I come off as "The crazy Zelda fan-girl who blindly defends the games no matter what". I grew up with it, couldn't grow out of it.)
