I beg to differ. The best is the Epic Katana. You need 6 colored Katanas for it.

actually, I've had a thought. seen as the story is original and the characters, let's stick to either original swords or ones related to our theme such as these.

do you mean it's Chinese not Japanese? I suppose it should be Chinese, perhaps if you could do some research for me not just about Chinese weapons, but also items they used and other interesting facts, seen as we won't be doing any programming for a while.

Swords have a long history in China. Stone swords were used in prehistoric times. Bronze swords have been traced back to the bronze daggers of the Shang period,. Bronze long swords suddenly appeared during the mid-third century BC. Later swords were made of iron or steel. These metals were wrought, never cast. Swords commonly reached a length of 70–100 cm, although longer swords have been found. Chinese iron swords were used in Japan from the third to sixth century AD, but were replaced with Korean and native Japanese swords by the middle of the Heian era.
Chinese group all swords into two types, Jian (劍) and Dao (刀). Jian are dual edged and Dao are single edged.

cool! now we just need some sort of rating system (a list) then that's the weapons of the tick list!
what items could be used for chickens? you see, when they 'die' they turn into chickens, so I was thinking do they just run around or could you have an item which makes them useful? Like a ray which makes them lay an egg, then you keep collecting eggs to trade with at a food store (when it opens later in the game) and use the coins from there to buy weapons.

how about a ray that makes them multiply then they lay eggs for you to sell at the market.

woops this post was outdated. i discussed it with wiimaster and we decided that the chickens should be left and there should be no rays or anything. but any other ideas are welcome!
