They're filthy rich anyway. If the artist (I'm just assuming it's music) actually did something productive with their money like donate it to charities then I'd buy it, but all they do with their money is store it all up anyway, so I normally pirate my music unless it's by lesser-known artists who wouldn't be filthy rich.

But if they make good content, than they deserve to be filthy rich (unless they are doing things terrible things that you don't want to support, but than just buy used because it's legal).

And if you don't have enough money, than how come you can afford a computer and an Internet plan. Things like that are pretty expensive nowadays.

But they wouldn't if people weren't buying their work.

If enough people with your mindset start saying how a certain artist is so filthy rich that you should just pirate them, less and less people obtain their music legally. So if you have plenty of people spreading this idea, eventually the money spent on creating the work does not get earned back or become profitable.
