I remember when I was little the My Little Pony picture books were the only good ones on the rack. I actually bought one too - it was the one where Wysteria finds some kind of magical pretty flower (actually, I think its only power was being pretty). I might still have it somewhere...

Whoever designed Rainbow's mane was really weird or had never seen a rainbow. It's completely out of order.

Pinkie was a G3 poni, but Twilight is, indeed, a character introduced in FiM. 

My sister used to have some figurines but they're long lost    She has also watched G1 and G3, I've watched bits of it while she did.
