I can play keyboard very well, I also write songs, but only the instrumental parts.
I have a good mic, but not the best.

My ideas for covers:

"Peace of Mind" - Boston

"Livin' on a Prayer" - Bon Jovi

"Hey There Delilah" - Plain White T's (since CatPerson did say he/she wanted to sound like the Plain White T's. XD)

"Come Together" - The Beatles (I always wanted to do a cover of this song with an extended, bluesy guitar solo. Plus I can sing this song pretty well.)

"Take on Me" - a-ha (This is a pretty hard song to sing for me, but I've learned much of the synth parts.)

"The Scientist" - Coldplay

"42" - Coldplay (This is a very interesting song by them - it starts as a soft, piano ballad before ultimately transforming into this explosion of pop-rock. I'm not sure if it would be a fitting first single, though. Definitely a song I want do, still.  )

"Wanted Dead or Alive" - Bon Jovi

"Walk This Way" - Aerosmith

"Free Bird" - Lynyrd Skynyrd

"Bohemian Rhapsody" - Queen (I can sing this one pretty well, and I got the piano parts down. The opera parts would be pretty hard to replicate, though.  )

Just some suggestions. xD I'll come up with more later if you want. Until then, maybe we should all come up with our suggestions. 

Like sing a song by another artist as like a demo? Okay. I think that we should all name some of our favorites then we decide.
Mine are cough syrup by young the giant, You found me by the fray, over my head (cable car)  by the fray, We are young by Fun. , and almost all maroon 5 songs

And that's the lyrics.    Do you think it's good enough to make into a song of ours? I haven't exactly come up with a melody, just the lyrics, but I can try to come up with a melody on the keyboard today.

Also, I pictured it as an upbeat rock number, maybe with a little pinch of "A Hard Day's Night"-era Beatles qualities in there. Still, I guess the song could also work as a ballad.

If it turns out being a rock number, then there will be a fast-paced guitar solo in that instrumental break. If it turns out being a ballad, then we'll replace it with something else - maybe a classical guitar solo, piano solo, orchestral break (I can mimic this on my keyboard), or something of the sort.

I like it! I think I have a melody.

I was thinking you two could sing to gether. THehungergames, you do it in a high pitched octive and ALl4one does it in a low pitched.

I dont know...maybe add like a bit after the second choros where its as if the girl comes in and sings something.. like .. the climax of it then goes back to you...
