Scratch

As part of a test we are putting up a 1.3 vanilla server called "Mindscratch" based off the server Mindcrack.

The idea is to build massive things, of course there's still survival elements but building is the main point, there's no warps, there's no /back, there's no /spawn, there's no teleporting and there's no gifting, so all structures are 100% legit making them even more impressive. Transportation would be done via the nether using minecarts (which is good because of the new dispensers), trading would be done with villagers for items starting an economy (I will only spawn in villagers, that is the least legit part, but only because it's almost impossible to transport them in a short way) and exp will be gathered the vanilla way of 1.3, doing pretty much anything.

Griefing isn't allowed
Swearing isn't allowed
Spamming isn't allowed
PvP isn't allowed
Cheating isn't allowed
Advertising other servers isn't allowed
Ops reserve the right to tell other players what you've been saying about them whilst they're offline, if you want to trash talk someone do it when they're online, but not on this server.
Having fun isn't required but is recommended

I'd personally suggest building a farm first thing, make sure all buildings created actually look decent, building rules are:

No mixing woods because you can't be bothered to cut down one tree
No using dirt as walls or as a roof out of laziness
Make sure you don't mix colours too harshly


If a house receives a lot of complaints there will be a vote whether or not to remove it.

After nerve rebooted the server, it refused to start up without reason. We are working to resolve the issue

As stated above, Minecraft is having yet more issues. We have no control over these issues, so we sincerely hope for the best.

I'm having issues with MC too. When I try to login to any server, it shows this:
