You just gotta love youtube.I'm an American and I think they should be held somewhere NOT here.
Though I'd like to go to minecon, I don't think it's fair for people to have to fly all the way to America to see it. They should have a few different ones (like Scratch Day) so everybody can go. Also, more sales on more tickets for more locations. Profit! And it is fair for all us Americans to have to fly elsewhere to see it?
People in North America are the minority.

I would go to Minecon if it wasn't so much money.
And in america.

Anyway, I think it's good it's being held in Paris this year. I think as the Minecons go by they'll eventually have some sort of pattern- Like America, France, Asia, Russia, etc.

Well it's always going to be someone. It was America last year, Europe this year. I'd imagine those are the two biggest sources of Minecraft players (apart from Antarctica of course).

It does the Missing thing for me.I just read your signature. You're going to Michigan? That's my home state! You're gonna love it! Are you going to see any of the lakes? Oh, and be sure to have some chilled Michigan cherries. Oh, and down by Detroit... they're crazy about Hockey over there. Don't know if that's your thing.
...whoopsy. Off topic. ...Texture packs. Yaaaaay.I've been there every summer since i was a baby. It's awesome. I'm going to Port Austin, a small town near Lake Huron that's awesome. My grandma's cottage [where were staying] has Lake Huron infront of it, and it's SO FUN. And alot of my relatives go stay in the neighborhood and there's a awesome pizza place and a candy and a ice cream store in the town. But we have to do a 3 hour car ride to the cottage from Detroit [We are going to Dave and Busters for lunch ]
Back on topic, What do you half to do to make a texture pack? How much work?
Do you mean you're going to Dave and Busters BEFORE the drive there? Because then I have this eerie idea in my head that I know exactly where you'd be. But yeah, you gotta love Lake Huron. <3

Get Paint.net and GIMP 3.
Copy your minecraft.jar, extract it (into a folder called minecraft).
You'll then have texture files. Edit terrain.png and the rest of them in GIMP and Paint.net. Then save. Then upload.
It's a lot of work, but GIMP + Paint.net = Photoshop if you add a few plugins to paint.net (check their website), which is quite easy to do.

I think that it's in the terrain.png. There's a grayscale tile of grass there, which I guess is what's used for grass coloration.
Speaking of texture packs, I finally made one! Here's the Planet Minecraft link.

Haha, they probably shouldn't be playing Minecraft then because it wasn't made in America.

And anyway, America had Minecon 2010 and 2011 so they can't complain.

it's really just what you expect from a simple pack. people do simple packs because they're so easy, and yours is just another simple pack in a crowd of simple packs :c

It's not like you ever had any control over Scratchia so this is entirely unofficial.

He is Liru/nervesplitter/mychemicalromance's messanger since Liru/nerve/MCR is banned so he did kinda have control over it.

Does anyone had any good adventures to share?
Well, I have a friend who likes Minecraft but hasn't bought it yet. In fact, all my friends are like that.
Anyway, once he was over at my house and we were taking turns playing, and we decided to go on a "Voyage" on a boat. The idea was that we would alternate on who controlled the boat. This was waaay back in like Beta 1.5, so there were no massive oceans or anything, so any type of "Voyaging" was kind of hard. I was actually pretty noobish myself, so I thought that we would find a large body of water to sail upon.
We eventually had to give up any hope of sailing and started just walking on land. Back then I was really bad at any sort of fighting, so we always kept it on peaceful. But today we were men, so my friend said,
"R-ready to go on... Easy Mode?" Says I,
"Challenge accepted, broseph."
We boldly turned up a level and were pretty dang confident. Then we got lost and eventually killed.
