In all the players the top bar is big, gray, and ugly. I think it would look a lot better if it was semi-transparent, and located inside the 480*360 viewing frame. It should automatically hide itself when it is not touching the mouse pointer, and vice versa.
(I shall make a mock-up later.)
Same idea but on Scratch Suggestions here.
Mockup

Total support. This would make Scratch games look much more professional.

Sounds awesome! So it shortens the project viewer by the height of the bar then puts the bar below in the new size of the project viewer sinc eit hides when the mouse isn't up there? Because otherwise, there'd just be white space where the top bar is hidden on projects that were created in the old version.

One problem though, what if your project had elements to mouse over in the same area as the top bar?

Thats true, maybe it could collapse so it doesn't interfere with gameplay.

That would work. I still like the semi-transparent idea, though.

Yeah, I think it would fit project's color schemes better if it was semi-transparent. I mean some projects are all red or blue, and grey just doesn't fit. Plus im just a sucker for semi-transparency.

Have you tried my JsScratch userscript? I could implement this idea. It's even better than mockups.

Same here.
WHY, 60 SECOND RULE? (rhetorical question)

Awesome Idea! There should also be a way to turn it off completely from within the project (For more advanced projects that control start/stop themselves and or by some other method. Maybe through a check box on submit?
