A Song Of Gods and Kings

This was the backstory to my RPG in the Text based games forums. The RPG has the same title if you want to join. Here's the story.

The fabled King Halarus ruled the land of Caladria where magick was first discovered and where the Gods originally resided.

Legend has it that the King was not born of a mother, bu that he emerged from the Rock Of Yaroglek, A meteorite that passed Caladria two thousand years ago that hailed the death of Întuneric, the most powerful mage of the Second Era.

Halarus knew from a young age that he was destined for greatness

And so at the tender age of 13 he set out on his journey with only a rucksack and a dull Sword.

First he killed the Roc, a gigantic bird that would dwarf the tallest building in Caladria, with trickery and collected the Heart of the magicistic bird. The Heart contained a magical Gem that allowed Halarus to have the Ability to speak to animals.

Halarus then allied with the noble Dragon Frumuseţe  and together they ruled the tiny province of Oglashan.

Where the two wiped out crime and hatred and replaced it with Love and Kindness

But then a tragedy happened. Death took Frumuseţe in the Night and brought him to his lair where all souls reside.

Halarus mourned for nine days and nine nights, eating nothing and drinking nothing. He became emaciated and a gust of Wind could knock the formerly strong Halarus over.

The Old Wizard Mithrandir heard of Halarus's mourning and visited Halarus with his brothers, Lathspell, Olorin, Incanus, and Tharkun. They each taught Halarus a specific kind of magic.

Tharkun taught Halarus the magic of Fyre and its physical form, fire

Incanus taught Halarus the magic of controlling Water

Olorin taught Halarus the magic of controlling Earth

Lathspell  taught Halarus the magic of controlling air

and Mithrandir taught Halarus the Dark magics.

It took one thousand days and nights for Halarus to master these magics.

Halarus asked Mithrandir if there were any more magics for him to learn and Mithrandir responded by telling him that there was one more disipline of magic that he had to discover for himself. And with that, Mithrandir and his brothers left Oglashan.

Halarus resolved to retrive Frumuseţe back from Death using the magics he learned. Confident, he strode toward Gehenna.

But Halarus still could not enter Death's domain.

And so he searched for a way until the God of Gods, Yasin Yaroglek took pity on him and visited Halarus disguised as a poor man.

Yaroglek told Halarus that he must cut out his left eye and hang from the Holy Temple of Yaroglek for 9 days and nights

Halarus readily agreed and cut out his eye and gave it to the man.

Yaroglek took the eye and molded it into a holy gem.

As Halarus hung from the Temple of Yaroglek, the God Yaroglek sent him an Vision

A Vision filled with pain, hurt, love, and the dream of Frumuseţe alive again.

When Halarus awoke from the Vision

he was clutching a Gem made from his Eye

He put the gem back into his eye socket and gasped for he could see all of Yaroglek's creation in all its beauty.
Halarus was so overwhelmed he Sang
My Liege My Master
Yaroglek
I see all of your Creation and am in Awe
How can I compare to you?
For I am a speck of dust on a speck of dust
My Liege My Master
Thank you

And so Halarus mastered the Final Magick

Music

Halarus walked into the Realm of Death and asked Death for Frumuseţe to come back to life

Death laughed at Halarus and challanged him to a duel of magic.

Halarus accepted and prepared himself for the fight.

The duel with death lasted a year, with neither side willing to lose.

Finally Death had Halarus almost defeated. As Death laughed and moved in for the kill, Halarus sang a note so pure everything in Caladria stopped. Birds were silenced by this beautiful voice and men weeped at the sound of it. Women fainted and a thousand soldiers fighting on a battlefield realized the fulity of war and hugged each other, all uniting in celebration of Humanity.

Death reeled back and Halarus had a chance to disable Death. Death realized it and prepared for the rest of his painful life. Halarus spared Death and in graditude, Death released Frumuseţe from his eternal grip. Out of respect for Halarus, Death granted him the choice to choose when to die and invited him the chance to visit the dead. Halarus accepted and was seeing the dead when a hand grabbed him on the back. It was Întuneric, the Great Mage. Întuneric prophsied the rise of Halarus and Halarus's fall. Halarus foolishly ignored Întuneric and left The Realm of Death.

The people of Caladria appointed Halarus as their High King and he stayed at that post for a thousand years until the  Rock Of Yaroglek passed Caladira again. Halarus called for a festival to commence the event.  In the middle of the celebration The  Rock Of Yaroglek smashed into Caladria and pulled King Halarus toward it. The  Rock Of Yaroglek then rose and flew off into the night sky, leaving a ruined land mourning for their liege. King Halarus is now one of the major gods, ruling aside Yaroglek. When Halarus left, there was a power vaccum and Halarus's Mages started fighting over the land.

Should I flesh this out and make it better?
